    Hi all,

I've been researching some options to get to Santorini and there are a couple of options but any flights I'm finding have crazy stopover times (I'm only planning for one week).

Any suggestions on a tour operator that can provide a solution?

If I book it all myself, how easy is it to get to Santorini from Athens?

I've tried the high speed ferry site that is referenced in a couple of posts but the site doesn't seem to give any results for ANY dates I select.

    I'm planning for June btw.

    Cheers,

I found a few flights here http://www.flights24.com/ they all have one stop over. If you fly into Athens get the metro to Piraeus (the main port in Athens) and a high speed ferry will take about 4 and a half hours. Greek ferry timetables are not the most reliable so I would buy ferry tickets at the port rather than online.

Have a look at easyjet- they fly from certain airports in the Uk to Santorini so you could get a cheap flight to Uk & then fly from there to Santorini.

Otherwise fly with aerlingus to Athens & then you could fly from Athens to Santorini.
See olympic air or aegean air.

Santorini is amazing by the way. Stay in Oia or Fira.

How about flying to Crete (Heraklion), and then getting the high speed ferry from the port up to Santorini?:)

iRock, I did this a few years back, just get your flight to Athens and if im correct you should land in Athens about 9pm. Problem now is that the next ferry to Santorini leaves about 6.30am....You can just buy a ticket from one of the counters in the airport no problem, theres a couple of operators who sell them...To get to the port Piraeus, you should get a bus which leaves right outside the airport i think its called the X91 or X98 or something like that...

My biggest problem was trying to stay awake all this lenght of time...You could get a hotel room to get a few hours kip down close to the port but I didnt...I was never so tired in my life though and I kept falling asleep on the ferry and thought i would miss my stop as i was on my own. Turned out grand though..

Those islands are absolutely gorgeous man and you will have a great time
