Junction boxes? Against regs on socket radial?

Just doing a small wiring job atm. I have added a new 20A radial to my CU and added a few double sockets to it on 2.5TE.

I have a small room within 10 feet of the circuit and I'd love to put a double in there. I'm just wondering whats the story with junction boxes for branching off socket radials, are they against regs? I am told that all branching should be done below attic level these days. Is this the case or would it be ok to put a junction box in the attic?

    Many thanks

EDIT: Darn, just realised I posted this in the wrong place. Could it be moved to Electrical if any mod gets a chance?
