Hi guys, Just a quick question. My girlfriend is renting an apartment with another girl in the city centre. Its not a crappy apartment it costs 1200 a p/m The apartment is actually really nice and modern but the windows are quite old. The problem is that the bedroom window doesnt close properly and therefore its quite cold and indeed noisy at night time.

Should the landlord fix this as surely if she is paying this much the windows should shut tight.

Yes the landlord should fix this problem.

But as a quick fix get some duct tape/foam or something just to stop the draft till they get a chance to fix it.

Absolutely the LL should fix this; it's in his best interest, as rain could come in and affect the walls/ create mould.
