I got my CA Steyr AUG A1 today, and as you do, put a few BBs threw it. Great gun I must say but, when on auto after a while it looked as if it was miss feeding, too many bbs were coming out and also the sound wasn't too nice.
Opened it up and to find the hop up a little broken, as in pieces were not connected.:eek:

Not entirely clear on that pic but it looks like one of the lugs which holds the back end of the unit in place has broken off, time for a replacement hop unit!

Was this a new gun or a second hand one? If new, send it back, if it was second hand, I'd be having words with the seller...

I thought that :( I've spoken with the seller, he knows where to get a replacement, metal hop up this time. Is it worth it?

I you mean the GnP metal hop up i have only heard good things about it however to get the gun in that condition without you knowing it i would expect the seller to be curtious and help ya in this.

Only place i know that sell thems are here

Well if that one was metal it wouldn't have broken like that! The PGC ones are probably the best aftermarket AUG hop units, but the G&P ones are alright (stronger body, same plastic rear rings). Either way they're better than stock in that the adjustment is stiffer meaning no wandering hop!

Presumably the seller is meeting at least some of the cost ofthe replacement?

Also available here. I think I had the same problem with my Jing Gong AUG actually, and got that replacement, which was grand.
