2007 bmw 520d problems?

    Hi, i've planned on buying 2004/2005 a 520d for a while, i've being waiting on them to hit the 10 / 11 k price mark but hard to come by. but i've noticed some 2007 520d going around 15k , like today i found a black one with 70kmiles m sport black top of the range 520 for only 14k... this is obv a way better buy than a 04 for 11k with 90k miles. anyway.... any know problems with these 520d' s

    I used to have a 2006 520d M-Sport and never had any hassle - I think the M-Sport looks much better than the SE - was getting 40 -45mpg

    Search "520d swirl flaps" on google, seems to be the most common issue with them if you get a bad one.

    not many problems that i know of.
    turbo issues were sorted by 07, the swirl flaps can still be a bit of a grey area but very easily sorted.

    if buying 07, buy a car built after September 2007 as it will have the newer more powerful engine, 177bhp as opposed to the 163bhp unit.
