    Hi there,
How long after a puppy gets its first injections should you wait before introducing to other dogs? Or should you wait until their second?
Friends have two dogs and we want them to get along so want to
    introduce them.
    Any advice?

Are the other dogs vaccinations up to date?

Personally i wouldnt risk it as the other dogs could be carrying something and give it to your dog. For the sake of a week or 2 i would def wait until after the vaccinations are completed.

Agreed - I'd wait until all vaccinations are done, then a few days after you should be safe enough to introduce your pup to other (vaccinated) dogs.

    Yeah the dogs are vaccinated.
So better off leaving it until after the second set by the sounds of it.
    Thanks.

Puppies need 2 primary vaccinations before they are fully covered, usually 2-4 weeks apart. It's best to leave it at least a week after the second primary vaccination before introducing your pup to other dogs (except dogs within the same household that are fully up to date on their vaccinations) and before bringing the puppy for its first walk.

Thanks for the advice, leave the visit another little while so.

The other dogs would have all their vaccinations up to date, but wouldnt be in the same house, so better safe than sorry.

    Thanks again.

OP, I suggest you read this link because socialising you pup before 12 weeks of age is one of the most important things you can do for it.
Balancing the importance of vaccinations and socialisation is indeed a dilemma but with care it can be done.
Also the limit of 12 weeks is very important as the ability of a dog to "socialise" properly after this age drops like the proverbial stone.

Unless the puppy is mixing with your own dogs in your home,I wouldnt take the risk.Ive met people who said there dogs were vaxd etc and they werent...not worth the risk.We are getting a boxer baby :) in 3 weeks and he will be mixing with my other 2 dogs in my home but thats it till he is fully vaxd and then Ill wait 2 weeks before I bring him out just to be safe :).He is very well socialised :) He is in a very loving home with his sibblings, his mammy and 2 other boxers a cat and kids.
