G+P M4 Upgrade

Hiya
looking for a bit of help with upgrading the exterior and possible interior of My G+P Magpull MOE.


Basically I want to go from the this




to this ( i know it's the MW2 M4 but it's closest to what I envision my M4)




Reason being is I'm not too gone on the MOE handguard and would like to get a RIS rail for it so I can throw on either laser/lights etc if I wanted to..
I'm happy with the stock so basically I need to know what RIS rail (size etc) would be suitable for my M4 plus if anyone can recommend a tightbore barrel for me to replace the twist barrel I put in I'd be grateful.
And any other possible upgrades I could do (guarder hopup already installed).

thanks TNT...Derburca pm'ed me to try out some RAS rails so I had an idea of what size etc to get and he had exactly what I had in mind with the magpul xt rails as well
Managed to persuade him to sell it to me so very happy
Next up possible peq box and whatever I can throw on it

I've set one up with a 7in AR lite rail (free floating) combined with VLTOR MUR upper reciever and VLTOR flip up tower sight-wired for stock tube battery-looked great but judging by your pics do I take it you are going to go for a camo paint job? I've done allsorts of upgrades internally -depends on what you fancy/ your style of game and depth of wallet!!! Any decent quality 6.03 to 6.05 tightbore with good hopup unit and bucking will do the
job no bother.

I'm definitely open to internal upgrades...next step is a tightbore barrel.
I remember the original was a 287mm barrel which I upgraded to a 459mm twist barrel. While very accurate auto causes fps drop which I don't want so therefore making the choice to switch back. The only other upgrade I've done has been a guarder hopup.
Any recommendations as to what other upgrades?
What hopup+buckling do you recommend?
Basically I play in LAC which is fairly wide open so most engagements are minimum 30 yards +

If you are changing back to traditional type precisoion barrell consider one of these with a madbull blue hopup bucking-
MADBULL 6.03
PROMETHEUS 6.03
PDI 6.05
I was a little confused when you said you have added a GUARDER HOPUP in an earlier post-not sure if you meant tha whole chamber or just the rubber.The afformentioned barrels /rubber are completely compatable with your original G+P metal chamber.

Thinking of gettign this barrel...it's a 285mm one..i might go to 364mm as I have a silencer on it..the original barrel in it was 287m.

Now I'm thinking of getting it rewired to the front and having a peq box on the side rail for a higher capacity battery.
Plus I'm thinking about mosfets..heard good things about them so any recommendations you can make

Good choice-if you go with it keep the small rubber nub(if you still have it)off the original hopup unit.The one supplied is larger and will most likely keep the hopup pressed on even when your dial is all the way off.
Check out http://extreme-fire.com/ they do great gear and their sevice is second to none,

Sweet..I've ordered the below and also plumped for the UBR stock as I think it looks way better than the the CTR stock...lot sturdier too.

1 X MadBull Black Python Ver2 6.03 mm Tight Bore Barrel 285mm
1 X Madbull Regular (Blue) Hopup Bucking : Rubber + Spacing 2 pcs-Blue
1 X Magpul PTS UBR Stock GBB Version Black.


I've gone for the standard version barrel for my M4 as when I compared the longer barrel to the other M4 I had (with standard barrel) there was no real distance gain as all.


Basically I'm spending the money on upgrading this AEG as there's no other AEG out there that I'd be interested in and I'd rather invest the money in this one and upgrade it rather than purchase another AEG which would lie idle.

I'm thinking of upgrading maybe the piston/motor/gearbox etc next if it's required so any recommendations are welcome
