M8 stopover

I'm travelling to Cork next Saturday morning, Could anyone recommend a good place to stop for breakfast just off the motorway between Dublin and Cork please?

Treacys in Portlaoise is nice. Take the slip road for The Heath and cross the motorway. Rasheres are a tad salty though!!!.

There is no where else I can think of more south.

Not a great idea to travel on an empty stomach, get something before leaving.

Urlingford is almost exactly half-way. Food in Josephines is horrible lately.

Horse and Jockey hotel at Horse and Jockey is close to the motorway, and they do a fairly nice buffet breakfast. Bit spicy at about 12 euro if I recall though, but you can load your plate up as much as you like.

Do!! If you are hitting it that early a phonecall would be a good idea as I havent been there that early in a while. Nice place though..

Josephine's Restaurant has closed. All that is left is a formerly Wimpy branded burger bar and a hot deli. There is still seating.

I usually stop at Mother Hubbards in Cashel.

Seconding this, I always stop there for a wee. Close to the motorway and a 4* hotel so reasonably nice place to stop.

Just wanted to thank you guys for your views and advice. I stopped off at Treacy's and got a huge delicious Full Irish for €8!
Stopped at the Midway (Maldron) just off M7 on the way back.

I've just eaten in treacys now thanks to this thread. Very good breakfast and quick service.
