Gothenburg, things to see and do?

    I'll be spending a week in Gothenburg for work, staying in the city centre.
    Can anyone recommend some activities / attractions for night time in Gothenburg?
    I'm not planning on going to pubs and clubs, just general attractions around the city.
    Being honest I know nothing about Gothenburg.

    The Gotenburg Wheel will be open in the evenings and would give you a nice view of the city. Linnégatan is a popular street (about half a mile long) for nightlife but if you are not interested in pubs there are also lots of nice cafes and restaurants and a cinema there. It's quiet a compact city so it's easy to get around at night either by walking or by tram.
