    heading to porto next month with friends.
    any suggestions about this city?

    also we are looking for apartments in city centre

    Do a boat trip on the Douro river - the countryside is beautiful and you travel through some spectacular dams as well. We did this one and it was fantastic - it may look expensive but it takes all day and includes lunch -

    Wasn't gone on Porto tbh - much preferred Lisbon. The open-top bus tour is good for getting your bearings and the Ribero area on the river is interesting. We stayed in this hotel which was fine but a bit out of the way - you might prefer something more central -

    we are 6 of us and hence looking for a apartment centrally.
