i dual boot, ubuntu and fedora, i rarely use fedora, but have to use it in college, so i installed it,
Fedora had its own home folder on a partition i use as a /home partition, ie ubuntu home is on it also

long story short i was doing a fresh install of mint the other day, and i said feck it, ill wipe the home partition also, have a really clean start again ! but i forgot i had fedora home allocated to that partition also, now when i went to boot fedora today, its gets so far then stops !! anything i can do, bar reinstall again, and point to that partition again during the install

    thanks in advance

You could stick in a linux live cd and edit fstab to remove (or comment out) the line responsible for mounting home. Then just create a home directory on the root partition for that user.

I'm assuming you're not trying to recover data, just get the computer to boot.

Btw I don't really follow how (or if) you've changed the partitioning. I'm assuming the problem is that the partition associated with /home doesn't exist but I'm not sure that's the case.
