did you try splice it into the micras wiring loom yourself or did you use an ISO lead?

have used a iso lead and just checked up a wiring diag, the micra and it looks like the original cables are wired correctly wondering now if its a a blown fuse in the radio or just a dodgy one as original radio works fine

Have you connected the earth wire to the stereo casing?

check the fuse, change red and yellow wires around if the fuse is ok.

think i discovered what it was, there was a earth wire i thought was connected but apparently the earth runs through the aerial on a micra, which i havent connected yet cos i need an adapter..

There's another earth wire, on the right hand side screwed into the dash, that goes onto the casing. This is the case on the 2 97 models we have.
