Lastminute.com price fluctuation?

The last two times I booked with lastminute.com the price of the packages (Sicily and Edinburgh) went up and down a couple of times before I booked it. Do the prices fluctuate for a reason? Is it because of flight prices? I'm looking to book New York at the moment on the site and the package we were looking at this morning…

The last two times I booked with lastminute.com the price of the packages (Sicily and Edinburgh) went up and down a couple of times before I booked it. Do the prices fluctuate for a reason? Is it because of flight prices? I'm looking to book New York at the moment on the site and the package we were looking at this morning went up by 100 euro this evening. Should I hold out and hope that it will go back down again or should I book it in case it goes up even more before tomorrow? Does anyone know if they're cheaper at certain times of the day? Thanks.
