Just on to UPC there now. We are currently paying 120 a month + whatever the phone bill does be usually 20-40 euro variance so basically we pay them 150 a month.
This consists of Cable Digital Max 35
    Digital Sports 33
Digital Telephony Basic and Anytime 18
    20Mb Fibre Power Broadband 34
    Total 120
So rang them up asking could I change my subscriptions wanted to change to Fibre Freedom Rapid package 70 quid a month http://www.upc.ie/deals/new_customer...efreedomrapid/

Of course though it is only for new customers so they try to give me everything that is in the package so downgrade tv upgrade broadband and get recorder box all for the outstanding price of 124 euro a month + a once off of 53 euro for 10 downgrade 10 upgrade and 33 to get the box .

Absolute joke anyone have any suggestions ? At this stage just really pissed off !

If you are out of, or approaching the end of your contract ask to talk to cancellations. I did and managed to get €15 off across all my services without losing any service.
Be aware that they only work from 0900 - 1700 Monday - Friday.

I was not that well prepared when I phoned, you may have greater success if you can find prices of other suppliers particularly with regards to install fees

Basically the offer of 70 quid or month or so is if you take the option of signing up to all 3 services together. If you decide against it and only sign up one at a time then you need to pay the list price for each product.
Imho it is your own fault for not taking the offer of all 3 services. Its like going into tesco one week and buying an item that has an offer of getting 2nd half price - the offer is there while you buy it - you cant go in the next week and buy the same item again and expect to get it at half price because you bought one last week!!

Yes I see what you mean but the problem is we have been with them the last 6-8 years and have gradually been getting things such as broadband and phone with them since they became available.

I believe they recently changed their price plan. You can cancel your contract because of the new terms, so threaten to do this and see what they come back with.
