wing mirror cover for focus

anyone know where you can get a wing mirror cover silver for a focus 2005 in silver. i have tried the garages but no way im paying €70 for a small plastic trim. i also need a hub cap for the same car but again ford want €40 for this. have tried a few salvage yards but no joy

tried them too. they only have the full mirror not the cover. its proving hard to get one of these

Scrap dealers? There is one down near the pier in Dun Laoghaire, few more near the Walkinstown roundabout.

Autozone do them (or at least used to) a couple of years back I bought one. It was black so i got a can of moondust silver from halfrauds and sprayed it and clipped it on.

Here is a black one from ebay. You will need to prime and paint it though. A DIY job I would imagine:

Are you sure they are €70??

I remember getting them before and they were not so expensive.

Just make sure you are asking for the cover only..sometimes they pick the wrong code and quote mirror etc..

Yep i double checked and thats what they are. seems silly cos they are only the back cover of the mirror itself. its a tiny piece at the back. the mirror unit as a whole is only €90 but thats black and primed.
those ones on ebay are the older focus. no good.

The one in my link is for the MkII Focus.

sorry Bazz. they look slightly different to the one i have. might have some joy. Ford airside have them for 25 primed. so i can get a can and spray it myself. now all i need is the hub cap. thanks for the help lads

thanks for all your help lads. i have ordered from ford for €19 primed and i will get a spray and do it myself. its a tiny surface area and isnt even the whole mirror unit only the back piece. its only 10cm x 8cm. so no way they are getting €70 for that

just to let you know i got one from ford for €19 and then grey primer and paint and lacquer. took a day to dry properly and a bit of sanding but its perfect and looks the same as the other side. All in price €34.00. better than €70 for the silver,
