Hi, I have an 'Aqualisa' power shower about 10 years old. Recently it has started making a roaring sound when it's turned on. It still works perfectly with no drop in pressure it just sounds terrible, like a motorbike. Anyone any idea what the problem could be and is it dangerous to use?

If its an aqualisa power shower i imagine its justthe brushes in the motor. Not much can go wrong with this. Its a brilliant shower.

M T Agencies in finglas are the irish agents for these showers. If you ring and ask for norman he is usually very helpful

is it easy to change them? how do you do it and how much are the brushes normally? Loads of my clients would have aquastreams and after a while the pump gets noisey or burns out completely, I'd normally suggest a new pump or new shower but if its easy to fix then might be worth a look at..

Not dealt with showers, but I was working in power tool repair for a long time, and replacing brushes isn't a difficult job. I'd be quite happy to have a go at it if it were me.

Besides, if you are recommending a new one and it goes tits up, what harm?

Hi sparkpea, just wondering did you repair any motors in the aquastreams. I have same problem and a new pump is around 100euro. Shower still works fine but incredibly noisy.
