SE Aisa - weather in summer

Thinking of doing SE Asia this summer (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia,Vietnam) I know it's not the ideal time weather wise but can only get the amount of time required for such a trip off in the summer. I sure others have gone at this time of year and wonder how they got on with the climate.

Weather wise is it still do-able or would you just be miserable with constant rain and humidity ?

It does rain quite a bit, especially in places like Bangkok. Its monsterous rain, lol. But some parts ever got rain while I was there like some of the islands.

Yeah I'm just worried that taking a holiday over there during the summer might really end up seeing days and days or rain. Is the whole region effected by the monsoon or could parts of that 4 country loop be OK?
