The ol man is looking for a new TV at the moment. For some reason he wants to buy it now as RTE are rolling out their Terrestial Digital TV.

I told him to wait at least until the summer and see whats up.
Anyway, should I go plasma or LED. the size of the TV will be around the 40-42" mark.
Budget is flexible but the tv must have a tunner capable of handling HD content.

I bought myself a Panasonic TH-P50V20A in Australia some months back and love it. Not sure if they are available in Ireland or under a different model number or what.

So any recommendations? I like Panasonic, Sony or Samsung although I think Sony are a little overrated for their price.

What shops give the best deals now a days. Been out of the country too long.
