Shocking. This kind of thing is just making people more distant and afraid of each other.

Done. God help her poor family, they must be in rag order. I really hope this has a happy ending!

That's just terrible, I really hope she's found.

Maybe it's a bit too early to even suggest but I'm starting to wonder if there's a serial killer at this? Two female Dublin based disappearances in relatively short succession? Co-incidence?

    Done.

But why do relatives of missing people always supply such grainy crappy photos?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 470 ✭✭clikityclak

Very freaky, hope there is some good news soon...

Tbh, it appears, that the other girls disappearance may not have been related to anyone else. I believe that, from her Internet searches, the gardai have ascertained the reason she went to Howth. But her poor family also.

Doesn't bear thinking about either way. The not knowing must be awful.

No CCTV footage yet, the place is practically festooned in cameras around there. Has no-one learned anything? Get info out early while peoples memories are fresh!

Honestly shocked at the slow response of the authorities and media here.

The fact that Gardai in Manorhamilton are leading the case would suggest she travelled back home or intended to. Otherwise it would be a Dublin station. Hope she is found asap

I hope she is found alive & well. My thoughts go out to her family.

Let's not forget about the other person mentioned in that RTE news story - Shay Prendergast from Wicklow missing since Saturday evening.

Christ this is close to home. :(

Hope she is found safe and well, I can only begin to imagine what the family are experiencing. :(

Giving this a bump to keep the awareness alive on boards.

While trying to say as little as possible for understandable reasons, there is no direction in this matter which points to anything other than a tragedy.

To be honest it seems RTE took the tiny version of this photo from the Missing poster on the Facebook page. Because there are many good versions of this photo around.

I would say however that putting up a graduation photo is always a bad move; more make up than normal, on FB page it says she has straight hair normally and glasses, so quite different from the photo here.

I agree. That is why I was trying to say as little as possible also ie. I was trying not to speculate while also refuting something speculative that somebody else said. God knows all these families have enough on their plate without idle speculation...

Hopefully both this young girl and the man will turn up soon safe and sound.

Caitríona Horan has still not been found. Her family are very worried about her & are appealing for information on her whereabouts. Her sister Sinéad is currently in Ennis looking through CCTV footage to ascertain whether Cait was there. PLEASE WIDEN YOUR APPEAL to people you know in/from counties Clare & Limerick. Her family need to know that she is safe & well

What made people believe she was ever in Ennis. Was she spotted there by locals? Did her phone receive signal there? Did she withdraw money there?

There may have been a sighting at a hostel in Ennis last night according to the facebook page!

Wow! That's fantastic that she's been found.

Let's still keep in mind Shay Prendergast from Wicklow who is still missing. His photo is here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?threadid=2056180032

No, the first disappearance was a suicide.
