head voice

    hey dudes,

    I just found head voice and I'm pretty darned chuffed. All along I was straining in modal voice and maxed out at about G4, which is about right. I could also use falsetto with absolutely no control or reliability.

    Well just today your trusted ally nickcave hit a beautiful C5 after much struggle/effort. Then I hit G5 and now I'm resting. So I've basically added an octave of vocal range already. This is kinda like my first time. I feel a bit dirty, actually.

    Comments/opinions on head voice? Anybody have any experiences to share?

    And yes, it is an instrument all right?
