Another very good episode this week but a little too soap operay for my liking, still decent though. It does blur the lines even more between the good and the bad guys, it was easy to see Walternate as being evil when he wanted to pluck out Olivia's brain but when he won't resort to actions that Walter has done it makes you wonder which universe should be saved. Perhaps there should be a vote.

Thought it was quite poor and dull, even leaving the
    pregnancy reveal aside,
    it was rather flat.

Wasn't as bad as morning sickness but not as good as grape flavoured chewing gum.

So Peter picks the other universe for the sake of the kid and dooms us all to oblivion because he didn't wear a condom. Are any of the producers on the payroll of Durex?

I like the characters of the other universe with the exception of Fauxlivia's ex-fiance (most likely) so I'm glad he's gone off. Hope we get a few more episodes over there.

fringe is really like no other show, the work they put into it to make the other side work is great, its almost identical to ours, and i really hope they keep the crossovers going,

can you imagine how hard it would be having a child and living in two seperate realities, what do banks charge for inter-universe child support payments,

i really liked this episode, and im liking altivia more now, and really hope to be seeing more of her, i wonder how long it will be before peter gets the news, more importantly how hell take it,

I didn't like it. But I haven't liked any of the other universe episodes. This love triangle of multiple universal doom is getting more and more ridiculous.

And Fauxlivia's boyfriend is annoying, I hope that's the end of him. How long was he away that he automatically came to the conclusion that the baby was someone elses?

I'm not as down on the baby mama drama as many on various websites are, yeah it's a bit cliche...but one hopes the producers/writers don't go straight baby drama and twist it up.

There is ALOT of concern about the direction Fringe is going in, and it couldn't come at a worse time with ratings slipping, it's dangerous to have such a plotline going in a Sci-Fi show with it on the bubble as it is.

Thus i'm giving it the benefit of the doubt and see how things go....did anyone spot the observer at the start of the ep.? - he was in the zepplin waiting lounge atop the Empire state building.

I'm pretty sure our Olivia was over there for about 2 months (I remember it being mentioned at some point when she got back) and the boyfriend left pretty early on during her stay there to deal with some outbreak and only got back in this episode. Fauxlivia is 6 weeks pregnant so no question really that the baby is not his...

ROFL. If we could figure that out, we could tap IrelandAlt for the bazillion euro we need to bail us out :)

I don't think Fauxlivia will want for anything, given that Grandaddy is only too delighted to have the progeny he must have felt he was cheated of. Did anyone else think his smile at the end of the ep was plain creepy?

I enjoyed the episode again but the reveal was a big pile of poo.

Fringe is at a very interesting place at the moment whereby they have fleshed out the alt universe enough imo that if they decided to have Pete pick that one at the expense of our universe I'd almost be ok with it .

Haven't seen a sci fi show this much balls since the 2 crichton 3rd season of Farscape , question is will they pull the trigger and if so on which universe .

I was thinking the same thing about changing the show to alt universe. Surely not, but I still wouldn't rule it out. I am definitely thinking that the baby can activate the machine though.

Booooooooring! It had a good start with the bugs in the toilet and made me think of The X-Files episode, War of Coprophages but then it fizzled out with Fauxlivia and her boyfriend.

We were never introduced properly to him and their relationship so why should we care anything about them. I really wish they never approached the whole alternate universe story line, its dull and all filler.

I think if the show is going to get cancelled they should go for it, just leave everything on a wtf note.

I think it has been brilliant,it has really made this season. I loved how early on in the season they were alternating between the two worlds every week.

At the end of season two I was very pissed off at the story arc they decided to take. I think they were trying to give the audience so much so they wouldn't get bored and stop watching the show.

In the whole of series two they revealed so much and hit on so many different things I feel they could have padded it out to two series rather than cramming the whole lot into one.

This is understandable in one sense as audiences patiences are generally getting shorter and if something isn't told right away or an episode doesn't touch on the overall story its considered "filler". (Now I know I referred to the alternate universe as filler as well but I think this was included because they rushed series two and basically used up too much of the mythology too quickly.)

If you examine The X-Files for instance, the show it resembles closest, how often did the writers touch on the bigger picture (CSM, Alex Krycek, and the deeper conspiracies),not that much (until the end when it sucked). The individual episodes were so good that it didnt matter.

I was hoping fringe would go that route but they couldn't and I personally think its because audiences are less patient and shows are under so much pressure from networks that they have no time for proper story telling.
