Taiwan gun (in Poland) are pretty good. They will downgrade for free if you buy the spring from them. But you could check if any Irish retailers selling CYMA gear can get this for you.

you have the a&k m60 ( both mk43 and vietnam version ) on the market at the moment, which would be the most economical option

there is no pkm on the market at the moment im afraid but as linked above you have a couple of rpk's on the market with one from cyma, lct and src

another option is the new a&k m240 ( not cheap at over 700euro but cheaper than the other versions out there, can be used as the modern m240 or take off the upper and lower handguards and you have a stand in gpmg

Quiet Puding, Lemming might hear that :P

Options are fairly limited for support guns,

    Mg36 (JG, SRC, made yourself)
    M249 (mk1 mk2 and para, Star, A&K and CA)
    M240 (Inokatsu and a&k)
    gpmg (Inokatsu)
    m1919 (Viva Arms)
    Bren (Shoot N Scoot)
    LMG (Ares)
    Stoner... soon
    RPK/RPK74 by whoever makes one.

Those are your vague options, hope you have deep pockets.

You also forgot the four Inokatsu m60 variants (VN, E3, E4, and mk43) and you can also get 'kits' by Inokatsu for RPKs; one requires a donor gun, the other requires just a gearbox I believe.

That there G&P Stoner 63 LMG (as opposed to the KA Stoner LMG, by Ares) is available but will set you back in and around the 500 mark.

There is the VFC m1918 BAR if you either want to go WW2, or a later unorthodox period look (e.g. some forces during the Vietnam war were issued WW2 guns, including the BAR)

Anything larger than 5.56 or 7.62, and you're looking at the Viva Arms m1919 .30 cal, or something like the M2 .50cal by X-Caliber Tactical (which is an 8mm gas monster).

None of what I have mentioned are cheap however; bar the two RPK kits which are 'reasonable' but will still work out at about the cost of the Stoner all told anyway.

Stealthirl, what's your definition of 'reasonable' pricing? You're either looking at A&K for sub €350-ish, €500-1000 (Ares/VFC/Viva Arms/G&P), €1000+ (Viva Arms, Inokatsu, X-Caliber, Shoot n'Scoot).

Never heard of this site before? Seems to be REALLY cheap???
Hows the P&P for them? I take it seeing as they are within the EU you wouldnt have to pay any tax on importing?

I would be in the 5-700 brackit.

i was thinking about the Ares/Umarex G36 with a drum mag for the look but for the price i was given and my dislike of Ares stuff from past bad experance i wasant to found of takeing the chance.

im not a fan of the RPK like the SAW

i would like a stoner but i prefare the look of the 63A rifle version, and thought it would be out of my max price anyway

bad past experience... One bad run of guns, does not a bad company make. Ares kit is well regarded everywhere but Ireland, thier g36s are solid guns. Anyway, there is a stoner 63a coming, and Lemming, like you, wants that!

That narrows the options a bit alright, so from what's currently available (or possible) you're down to the A&K m60 E4/mk34 (when it decides which variant it's actually trying to be), MG36 (if you can move past your Ares dislike), KAC Stoner LMG (again, see about Ares), and the Stoner 63A LMG.

Wouldn't hold my breath on any other Stoner systems coming out considering how long it took to get the 63A out the door, BUT with that said and done if the 63A proves successful (and from what I've heard from the likes of Frank at Fire-Support there's a lot of enquiries), it wouldn't be too difficult to release other models given they all use the same fundamental base.

Edit: Forgot to mention; what about LSWs Stealth? e.g. the L86 and the AUG H-Bar?

    see above re the MG36
do you have any experance with the A&K ? I love the look of the VN

as for a LSW/H-Bar im just not that into what is just a moded/upgraded gun
i like support guns to be big and havey and look like they mean buisness if you get me ?
thats why i dont like the 249/rpk
