Do ye remember when we were youngfellas and football was enough and if a girl looked at you sideways you,d tell her eh get stuffed,
then things they started changing,when you were about thitrteen you first began to notice shapes you never before had seen

I remember when it happened to me it was,nt back that far
when I first walked up the crumlin road I was headin for the Star
you see thats where it all hung out it all happened there if you were looking for a bit of skirt or looking for your wear,
and you,d be made up with a half a crown remember two and six
your money in a few smokes and enough left for the chips
then when the picture started there was,nt any roar
you know like at the matinees of course we were kids no more
so you,d sit and watch the picture the place was so serene
then a tub would go flying by your head and then you,d hear a scream
someone would turn around and say eh what the bleeding heck
an you,d break your ball....heart laughing as it trickled down his neck
then I ,d turn and say to the mates is there anyone around
theres a few birds sitting down the front cmon we mosey down
then we,d sit in the seats behind them and start to pull their heir
not just because we wanted to but to let them know we were there
I,d say Neiler you can have that one and Spudy you can have the other
Neiler says I,m not having her for shes a bleeding scrubber.

well thats one chance gone,but theres time left yet for soon the intermission.
when the picture ends the lights go on sure we,ll see then where there sitting
and we found them but it was to late they were sitting with three others
and one of them saw us looking and said their the ones who called us scrubbers
so the three boys they got up to fight and blood began to spill
then from the back you,d hear a voice ah Jazus there,s a MILL
and you,d see a light coming at you fast you knew you had to scatter
cause Dynamite was on his way to see what was the matter
then you,d run and hide behind a seat and hope you,d not been
then a hand would grab you by the neck and you knew that you had been
He,d walkyou along the aisle then kick you very hard
He,d say dont you lot come back anymore
doe,s that mean now we re barred
so wed all get on to Neiler his smoke between his lips then someone would say aw ****it cmon we get the chips
