Mynute 20E Gas Boiler pressure problems.

    Hey folks..
I'm looking to increase the water pressure on a Mynute 20E Gas Boiler.
The pressure is just above 0 and I think this is contributing to several rads not working.
Any and all advice is appreciated as I want to do this myself if possible.
    Cheers.
    A.

The words "filling loop" in the search facility will help.

Try the hot press, look for a small valve switch, plastic type. It should have a pressure gauge over the switch which will drop while you open the valve.

Open for a bit then close back over. Should be back to normal then.

    Cheers for the advice lads...
But I was unable to locate the filling-loop or the points where I could add a filling-loop.
Have a look @ the photo's below and let me know what you think. Did the original plumber cock it up and not install a re-pressurization point?

    Thanks in advance,
    A.

I have the same boiler, same pipe lay-out, and same issue as yourself.
Serious knocking from my boiler. There is no water pressure in the system.
Our boiler should be up at 1Bar. I cannot find a way to increase the pressure in the system. There is nothing in the boiler manual, and vokera UK couldn't really help.

Did you get it sorted? Any advice?

In the picture at the right hand side where the 2 pipes come out of the wall one has an bottle vent , the other one has a 1/2" pipe going up through shelves , trace that pipe up , I'd say that is where the filling loop is ( prob tpieced in at the ballcock at the combo cylinder ) , if not take more pics , at high level and low level

he's probably right. the mains is probably coming in at that cylinder, and teed off before the ballcock, either there is a filling loop on that line, or an automatic fill valve,

remember to if you do find the loop or the valve to bleed the radiators as your refilling the system. fill it to about a bar and a half

    Cheers lads...
Yeah as you suggested the loop is tee'd-off.
I haven't carried out this operation before but I'm not shy about trying.
Can you give me info on bleeding the rads?
Is it simply a case of opening the rads, bleeding them and then opening the loop until I get the 1.5 bar?
    All advice is appreciated.
    Cheers.

Glad to help , unless you have previously turned your rads off leave them all turned on , now with your boiler turned off , pressurise it to 1.5 bar via the filling loop , be careful not to over pressurise it ,as if it goes over 3 bar the safety valve opens and sometimes does not shut fully requiring it to be replaced , now, once at 1.5 bar , go to the first rad and open the vent at the rad about 1 full turn , or until you hear air , don't open too much or it will pop out , when you get water close it and move onto the next rad ,if you stop getting air when venting , close the vent your at and repressurise the system to 1.5 bar and continue . When all rads are vented check that the system is set to 1.5 bar . I see that you have a combination cylinder fitted so I presume your in an apartment , if it was a house your in I would tell you to start venting down stairs .
