Anyone know what is causing these marks on ceramic hob or what can do to get rid of them - ceramic hob cleaner doesnt seem to be working

Is it due to saucepans boiliing over during cooking and the water getting onto the hob and under the saucepan during cooking

Is there anything i can do to remove this

    Thanks

you could try ovenpride in the orange box or another way is a wire brush on the end of a drill -won't Mark as it's glass

Did you try soaking it for a few hours & then the scraper that comes with the hob . It usually works for me

Are these marks "pitting", this can be caused by pans hitting the ceramic hard, like a stone chipped windscreen, nothing you can do with them if this is the case.

I dont think its pitting - dont thing the pans are hitting the ceramic hard

A scourer, Jif cream and elbow grease. They will eventually come out.

That's exactly what it is burnt on food residue and the best way to remove it is with a scraper as per bertie 1 above. If you didn't get a scraper with the hob you can get a paint scraper does the same job.

No matter how much you wipe the hob after cooking this residue builds up after time and a scrape every now and then stops it getting too bad.
