Truck Driving License

    I was just wondering if anyone knew how i would go about getting a truck licence, any help appreciated

    Theory test for C category is your first port of call. (assuming you alreaady are over 21 with a B licence. if not, then these are your first tasks).

    Just to clarify the minimum age for a C category learner permit is 18.

    thanks for the replys, does it usually take long to get one, how much lessons would be the min id have to take before sitting the exam, thanks again

    It's a lot more complicated (and expensive) than it used to be in comparison to a few years ago.

    On top of the theory test there is the CPC exams to contend with as well.

    But there are already threads dedicated to this on the board already which will help you in that regard.


    As for the actual driving part - I don't believe there is a set number of lessons required before taking the test (not yet at any rate, but that may possibly change in the future). Expect to need a bare minimum of at least 10 hours/5 lessons of driver training . Of course this will all depend on how quickly you become accustomed and skilled behind the wheel of a truck
