Finished lectures in college that day I think. Will definitely make the trip in if I can. What an album. Interesting to see what else he plays though seeing as it's only 10 songs long and a lot is just mixes. Can't leave it at that :D

I think that Masta Ace is touring Europe with him as well. I'll try to find out more about this tonight as I'll be drinking with someone in the loop.

But with or without Masta Ace, this will be dope.

It's not just Paid in Full, is it? Either way, I need to convince people they want to go to this.

    According to ChoiceCuts:

This will be a special live show in which Rakim will perform his landmark “Paid in Full” album in its entirety alongside a selection of his other classic hits.

So it will be much like the Raekwon "Only Built For Cuban Linx" show.

Rakim would be epic enough but I would go to this for Masta Ace alone if that can be confirmed, would love to see him!

Forgot to update this....I didnt get confirmation on Masta Ace coming to Dublin but if I hear anything i'll update.

Got tickets for this the other day. Might still go to the Dublin show though, depending on how much interest there is from mates.

I'd give me left nut to go see him, but unfortunately yet another massive concert (for me anyway) is booked for when my college exams are on so I cant go. Quite the balls it is cause Rakim is the GOAT as far as im concerned.

The gig in Cork is on in the Pavillion on Wed the 4th. He's also playing a gig in Róisín Dubh in Galway on the Tuesday.

Hopefully he stops off in Maynooth on the Thursday for a few pints. I'd be willing to buy a round or two :p

Does anyone think I could get a ticket in late April?
Hard to convince people to go. Could only get a few to see Stevie Wonder in June. And he's only been here once.
If it was Dre & Snoop it'd be a different story . Would any of ye go by yourselves?

I'm sure it'd be class bein around likeminded hip hop fans when I'm there but I dont really wanna go by myself.

Its great that Rakim is doing this type of tour for real fans, cant see JayZ doing a Reasonable Doubt tour (but I can hope).

So what do you guys think regarding buying tickets late. Will he really sellout the place and how are ye finding convincing people to go? :)

he'll definitely sell out the pav in cork, not sure bout the dublin show but i wouldn't leave it too late. don't let the fact that your friends wont go stop you from seeing one of the GOAT's of hip hop. youll meet people at the gig.

I'm in the same boat lol. Smh @ Irish people! Might bring the girlfriend along but I'm not sure how well she would appreciate the "God MC" lol. Still, I'm not going on my own and I don't wanna miss this.

O for gawd sake ... if you want go see something, Go! Go on your own. No biggie. Roisin is not THAT big that you'll be noticed. Who'll be looking at you anyway? I could've gone to see Bob Marley in Dollymount Park in 1978 (showing my age). But I was VERY young then & didn't go. Major, major regret. He was dead 3 years later. I have never missed a gig I wanted to see ever since... this is a journey into sound ...

It's a big bad world out there, anything could happen! But no, I do hear what you're saying.

Yeah but going alone is never as fun as experiencing it with other people. Defo going either way but would be cool to have other people with me!

Ticketmaster told me that I have to pick up the tickets at the venue on the night. I have to bring ID and the Laser card I paid with. Always have to be awkward.....

Just back from the Róisín after a few extra pints. What a gig!!!!!!!!! I ended up gettin my ticket signed after the gig and got a fist bump during the show. The RA not only loves the love, but he appreciattes it too. I thought it was clas how he wore the Gaillimh colours! His DJ is wicked too. I'm n such a high from the whole thing! The only bad thing was that my sis, who I had a ticket for, couldnt make it. Otherwise it was an UNREAL gig

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 532 ✭✭✭Mickolution

Was it just or mostly Pain in Full?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,450 ✭✭✭evil_seed

He did about half of paid in full, some off of follow the leader and a few newer ones off of 7th seal. also spit the verse he did on the watcher pt 2 and addicted
apologies for the terrible sound quality

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,450 ✭✭✭evil_seed

Ya I used my mobile for some. Digital camera for some of it too. Either way it came out bad on both.

I'm gutted that I'm missing this. Too close to exams. Ah well. Hopefully there will be more live hip hop coming here.

Unreal. Delighted I went. That was my first rap concert and it definitely won't be the last. Blew the lights and all...

Great gig last night, one of the best i've been to ever. The outage was a bit of a downer, but Ra handled it like a champ.
