How are they 10 times better ? Serious question. Never tried them (i've tried a few really expensive headsets tho) but i dont understand how the sound quality can be that much better than the TB's.

I have them and I think they're good but I can't imagine them being 10 times better. In fairness I've never tried the TBs but they must be shíte if the 180's are 10 times better, the 180s are good but nothing super in terms of sound quality.

The only thing that would make a headset 10 times better in my view is a wireless 7.1 SS headset. I have heard before the 180s are better than the X11s or PX21s and that's why I got them.

Well I've been using the turtle beach for over a year, when I first got them, Yeh, I thought they were the best thing ever, maybe the same thing is happening now with the Trittons.

But its the little things, I can sound hor so much better, like a game we played the other day on radiation, I was the only one watching B. While the rest of the team were under A. So I knew if the other team were smart they would realise that if they are all getting killed at A then no one is gonna be at B. I hid at the back, and waited, I could hear the plant beeping sound going off, and his footsteps, and the little clicks that happens when the suitcase is opening.

Tried to do the same a few days later with the turtle beach on, and I couldn't do it. I heard nothing, except my own footsteps.

Maybe its just personal opinion Magill mate, and sorry for the big long essay, but I find them alot better than the turtle beach, and they are more comfortable to keep on for long gaming sessions.

just buy a desktop mic. Cheap and lots of people use them. Should suffice unless you want to splash out a bit.

:D I'll have to give them a shot when these TB's are done.

The problem with TB's they're as hissy as fcuk when watching something quiet, fine for games like CoD where its explosions and gunfire all over the shop, watching a movie on them is annoying as theres a constant hiss you cant get rid of. my housemate has a pair of Sennheiser Hd55's and they're friggin amazing, think he paid 70 quid for them on sale on amazon, they're over 100 normally, but blu-rays sound amazing on them. but then theres no mic so its not a gaming headset. I think its due to the amp for the mis and volume controls on the TB's that makes them sound like that, I'd have to try out a pair of Tritons before I'd drop money on them.

I have a pair of TB x31s and my brother has the tritons. I have used his a few times, but I have grown to hate them.
With the TB if you talk you can hear yourself in the headphones so you know if you are being to loud. The Tritons clamp down on my ears and I feel like I have lost my voice. Also the Tritons tend to buzz in silence.

What I will say is that the x31s do annoy me in that they switch off in silence, which can be a pain. (If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know). Go with the x11s/x21s to resolve this. And you will need an extra wire to plug your headset into your pc.
The Tritons will work with your pc as it is in the box as well as your xbox.

If you are looking for a headset to play games with and use for commentaries, either of these will do the job, with the downside of course.
If you do not want to get one for the xbox, just the pc, any mic will do. You can pick up a cheap one for f all online. Saying that, there are some unreal headsets, that if you wanted to, you could get a connector to hook it up tour xbox if needed.
