opted out of one of the UK TV channel (think it varied which one but usually BBC2, I think) on South Coast (now closed) TV UHF analogue service in parts of mid-Cork

Don't think it was ever carried on SCTV's ill-fated 12GHz digital service
Carrigaline SCTV area had some local TV opt-outs in the early to mid 1990s (on a channel which usually carried Eurosport) but this was abandoned

TV opt-outs were / are forbidden under terms of "deflector" licence. RLO TV in Limerick lost their licence due to "opting out" of UK C5

It used to optout of Channel 4 on the Ballydesmond and Knocknagree deflectors, I don't think they're still operating.

I receive it here on what I think is VHF channel J - 223 or so Mhz, I think it's on C50 UHF too.

Seeing as ASO is, well, tomorrow, is anyone in the Millstreet area able to confirm if LTV2 is still broadcasting on VHF/UHF?

    If anyone wants to check

    VHF C12/J/223.25Mhz - Mushera
    UHF C48/687.25MHz - Tullig relay
UHF C50/703.25MHz - "Out towards the railway station" relay

I was never able to get a decent signal here as I'm 20+km from Millstreet with no LOS.

I was able to pick up a very noisy signal before but nothing now that I've a digital TV that says "No signal instead"
