Isuzu 2.2D Engine & Gearbox - Price for Export?

    Hi, I advertised a Isuzu midi van 1993 100K for parts on a website. Phone call from a guy looking for the engine and gearbox. I tried selling him the complete van but he just wanted engine and box. He stipulated that they (engine&box)must be removed from the van in 1 piece and that he didn't care about starter/altenator belts etc. He then let it slip that he was exporting these type of van engines/gearboxes etc to Africa...

    Hes asking me what I want for eng/box....The vans going 100% but full of rust therefore its only for breaking for parts anyway.

    What would be a resonable asking price for the eng/box. He wants me to remove it as well which will take me half a day.

    I'd say around €500. €300 for the engine and 200 for the gearbox.

    Have you gotten a deposit of some sort?
    I'd recommend taking a deposit of atleast a 1/3 before you do anything. As remember if the buyer backs out it will a hell of alot harder to sell the engine if it can't be heard running.
