Nurse Required

    Hi Guys,

I am looking for a bit of help.

I have a project I am trying to get off the ground. As I see, I am going to require the services of a nurse to help with getting things setup.

Ideally I am looking for someone who was a Public Health Nurse, or had experience with elderly services of some sort. I have tried all the usual routes, but it seems people are not that interested.

I can't say how long they would be required, but if all goes well it could turn into a full time position.

If you know someone, or have a friend of a friend etc then I would love to hear from them.

    Thanks,

    BF

You can hire a nurse by the shift through one of the nurse recruitment agencies. This might or might not suit you. Don't expect it to be cheap though. To recruit at the sort of level you are talking about (basically, a manager/director of nursing/care who can take a high level of responsibility) you are going to be looking at a few hundred a shift.

There are just not that many nurses available to hire with the sort of experience you want. However, you might be able to find someone who is willing to work part-time, but you will really have to do it through personal contacts.

Nursing is not like carpentry or computer programming, or catering, or whatever, in that employment is almost always through an institution, on a formal basis. There are few 'nixers' or speculative jobs in nursing. If you are not in a position to offer a formal position, and don't have the personal contacts, i think it will be difficult.

Could you do your project through a partnership with an existing care organization?
