I am just wondering how much petrol a 125cc compared to a 250cc would a motocross bike go through and how much better is a four stroke verses a 2 stroke?? Any help on this would be appreciated.

If you are worried about fuel economy then motocross isn't the sport for you. If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it - the cost of maintenance and repairs will be ten times what you will spend on fuel in a year so don't jump into it without adding up all the costs. A decent two stroke will rip through a couple of gallons and a half bottle of very expensive 2T oil in a day - skimp on the oil and you'll be spending the kids xmas money on pistons and a rebore...
