The closest I ever got to loving an Italian Mama was cracking one off while watching Catherine Fulvio's cookery show on RTE.

It saves me having to think. I just get a patchwork of generalisations and use that to paper over my insecurities.

Everyone makes generalizations, the Brits did a fair bit themselves over the centuries there as well Mike so maybe you should ask yourself too.

The Irish don't love making ridiculous generalisations. That's more of a British thing.

There's no need. The vast majority of people here are favour of rejoining.

Yeah of course generalising is something that can't be avoided, but the amount of unsubstantiated inferiority complex-rich "'We' Irish are xyz" sh1te here can get grating.

I've no doubt the OP is aware of the irony...

in general we're probably the best in the general northern hemisphere at doing it, generally ;)

    The Anti Generalising League

We crusade (though in many cases we don't) against generalisations ( using generalisation in the main sense of the word, though we accept that there alternative usages) at all times (though there are times where it is not possible) especially (though not actually singling out this for any reason or anything) when it comes to people (though people are the main target, there exceptions to the rule as well naturally)
