My C Drive has no space left yet I cant seem to find any reason as to why. I've checked all folders, downloads etc within the C drive, even the desktop and nothing. I cleared some space 2 weeks ago and without having downloaded or used any space it is full again.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Run ccleaner. It should clear up space. When installing be sure to untick any boxes asking you to install the "ask" toolbar and such.

Clear out any temp folders. There are a few places that these can be and it varies from OS to OS. For example on Windows XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp
    c:\WINDOWS\Temp

    Uninstall any unnecessary programs.

Then start counting the size of individual directories to figure out where the big usage is. I'm sure there's some tool you could download to graphically show you where the space is being used up.

Turn on "show hidden folders and files".
This will show you the uninstall folder of windows updates. You can delete those.
See if you see any dump files that are created when a pc crashes.

And if you have more partions on the same hard drive, try to make the c partion bigger with something like partition magic or the likes.

If you use Outlook for emails, check if you have lots of email in there that could be deleted. Outlook creates a pst file that can grow pretty big as well.

ccleaner will delete temp files for you.

Treesize is a free application that will give you a break down of where space is being used up.
