Number of times TDs spoke in the last Dail.

Where could I find a record of the number of times a TD has spoken in the Dail since the last election?

Anywhere online? Want to take it into account when deciding my vote. And to be armed with it should any of them canvass me.

Also, if Jackie Healy Rae ever spoke, a translation into English would be good...

Good idea OP - it would certainly be useful to know exactly to what extent our representitives turn up in the Dail, and whether they actually take an active part in proceedings (as opposed to propping up the Dail bar and only coming in when called to vote).

newspapers sometimes report such things. I don't see how this would benefit someone deciding on who to vote for.

Somebody could have spoken for 10 hours in the last Dail, but every minute of it could have been useless/pointless.

Perhaps, but I've read elsewhere that one of the candidates in my constituency spoke a total of 3 times since 2007 to now.

How is he earning his money if that's the case?

Go to http://www.kildarestreet.com/ - click on Dáil, then TDs, then the individual TD. There's a "Numerology" boxout towards the bottom of the page that should tell you how many times they've spoken.

A glowing example of all that is wrong with Irish politics :(

He could be presenting written questions rather than speaking in debates.
