    Hi,

The title speaks for itself really. I haven't been able to afford new glasses in about 3 years and my eyes are getting worse. I was wondering if I bring in an old pair if they'll be able to just put new lenses in for me.

Lidl often have spectacles, some Boots and Tesco too, for about €20.00. Just try some until you find what you need.

Most opticians will put new lenses into it for you. Some of the multiples may charge you for the lens and for a re-glaze so check with a few opticians.

These can only be ready readers i.e. a positive spherical powers which are equal in both lenses. So if your myopic (short sighted) they won't work. And won't be great if you have a large difference power in both eyes or have high astigmatism. But otherwise they're perfect and handy.

If you have a recent prescription you can reglaze you frame with most online sites. Or you can get fantastic value on new glasses online. ;)

As jwabh said the reading glasses are ok for reading short term but not ideal for any long term use.
