    Hi,
I'll be in Nerja for a week in April and would like to know if anyone can recommend anywhere that rents out road / tri bikes for the week? I'm not having much luck finding a decent bike shop and I don't really want to take my own road bike with me.
    Thanks.

I found this shop to be the best in the area. I've only rented MTBs off them so I'm not sure about road bikes.

Why don't you bring your bike by the way?

I've been to Nerja twice. A nice place but not many bike shops. You'll have to go to Malaga to find a decent one. Are you looking for a Road bike or MTB? If i were u i'd bring ur own bike. Ryanair have a generous 30 kg bike weight allowance.

    Thanks

If you bring your bike, make sure to bring tools, and to protect the gears; on a long-ago trip to cycle around Granada my gears were broken on the plane, and the only 'bike' shop I could find - a motorbike shop - simply removed the derailleur fixed the chain at a very difficult level so I strained to pedal for the rest of the trip. Mind you, the raging storms and mudslides didn't help.

I've been to Nerja about 6 or 7 times and can't say I ever seen a bike shop that rented out bikes although there is a bike shop up near the main road close to the bus stop. I'd say malaga is your best bet and either cycle back to Nerja or take the bus (45 min journey) The coastal route between Nerja and Malaga is beautiful and relatively level, would live to cycle it myself the next time I'm there (prob next April/may)

There is a Facebook page called Nerja Today, it's mainly frequented by ex-pats from the uk and you'll get a definitive answer there very quickly.

I´ve been to Nerja a few times now myself and I know of a guy renting road bikes in nearby Motril. Very easy to deal with and he also delivers to Nerja. Cycle Sierra Nevada www sierranevada.cc
