Just a quick note to point out an update to the charter.

Encrypted/non-English Posts: must include a translation. In the case of an encrypted post, the translation may be put in spoiler tags. This is purely for the purposes of ease of moderation. Any posts not containing a translation may be deleted. Needless to say, posting code is excluded from this requirement

reason for this:
While I have no problem translating morse code or sticking a lump of text into a google translator, if a post is reported as being indecent or defamatory or dangerous, the moderators of the security forum, meaning koolkid and myself for now but also whoever comes after us, should not have the moderation of a post made any more difficult. This rule is already in place for non-english posts on boards (eg: posts in Irish) so the addition to the charter is not contrary to any existing rule, its more of an expansion and clarification specific to the security forum.

any posts prior to the addition to the charter will of course be exempt (I'm not that bad!) but please keep it in mind for future posts. Yes, it takes away from the fun of posting encrypted text but you'll just have to trust your co-users not to peek at the spoilers.

I have not yet discussed with koolkid what the response would be to someone posting a translation that is significantly different from the actual text encrypted but I would view this as a serious issue and a deliberate attempt to mislead users of the forum.

Ya you are right im afraid.. (Sometimes people will use an alternate form like this to get something mean posted and not have staff catch it)
