Finding a DC5....

    Hey lads and ladies!

I know I mentioned it before and someone suggested Donedeal, but I'm currently looking for an Integra DC5 and cant seem to find "the one"!:D
I've tried all the usual spots in Ireland, but few have caught my eye, and I think its down to bad advertising on the seller's behalf, its a performance car but they don't give it the ad. that it deserves.
Anyway, I was hoping maybe someone that might have been in my position could offer some advice?
Where did you source your car?
Would ye recommend finding an importing agency?...and if so where would be the recommended place in Ireland?
I've been looking at Pistonheads and they have a few nice cars there, but the logistical issues worry me!:(

    Thanks anyway!

There are quite a few on the market.

If you take the time to look around you will find the one.

Nothing too fancy mechanically, Just a plain un-modified car for now as insurance could be an issue.
I've seen quite a few white Teg's with red Recaro's (usually worn, which puts me off straight away)! I like the look of the white and red but I wonder how practical it will be on Irish roads in everyday use? It'll need a wash every couple of days! Not that I mind but in a car like that, I'd rather it be noticed for good reasons!:D

To be honest, this was the only one to stand out, but is it not a bit pricey for a 02?

I'm not too well educated in Honda works but I think the C pack seems to be the most common? Are there many more options in other packs?

White isn't as hard keep clean as you'd think.
A good polish and wax will stop alot of filth sticking and then a quick wash at the weekends is enough until the next waxing is due.
I found mine after a bit of looking. Had to go all the way to Belmullet to get it though :/
Worth it in the end. Putting it up for sale myself as I need money for other things as I'm in college and not working.

Funnily enough there's an S2000 for sale in the family!:D Been in it once and it was a very nice motor! I know this probably wont go down so well but .......I think the Integra has a slightly bigger boot?...I know I'm not buying the car for boot space but I would need a little to throw some DJ decks and a mixer into it, just to keep my job, ya know?
Believe me, if I could live with the S2000 I would! :D
I'm just afraid my chances of driving a petrol car are dropping everyday!!:( ...and when I don't do that much mileage I'd like to have a fun car!

I walk to work, I also have a qashqai and I tend to drive that when I need to drive.

White cars aren't too bad to keep. They don't show up the dirt as much as other cars. I have a black DC2 and every single spec of dirt is shown on it  But when it is clean, the black looks great :D

The C pack option was......folding wing mirrors, rear wiper, and a tint on the back 3 windows.
The engine start button was another separate option.

With regard to worn Recaro's putting you off straight away, that can be a good and a bad thing. Firstly, Recaro's can be a good indication of whether the mileage on the car is genuine. Secondly, if I was looking at a car with Recaro's in it, and the seats were fairly clean, had no rips etc, but the drivers side bolster was worn, it wouldn't bother me at all. I changed the drivers bolster on the Recaro in my Integra, it cost about €40 for the bolster from a place in England, and took me about an hour to do, including removing the seat from the car and bringing it up to my 2nd floor apartment!!! It made a massive difference, seat looked much better, and held me in place better. Bolsters wear very easily on the Recaro's due to the design of the seat, so if it's just worn bolsters putting you off, don't let it! Now, if the whole seat is destroyed, that's a totally different story!!

    Capital Seating?

    E40 is a good price.
