    Hi,

If there is anyone left who is not doing the mini-IM:) in Galway on Sept 4th, you may be interested in a charity triathlon that takes place every year at Brittas Bay (possibly one of the best tri locations in the country...) in September.

This year it is on Sept. 3rd and the aim is to raise funds for Barretstown and Kathleen's Kids of Makondo.

I'm not an organizer of this event, but it is a great day out and extremely family friendly (free bbq, face painting etc...).

Both Sprint and Olympic distance available to tackle.

Cheers for that, havent heard of this one. Also it might be a good option for people in the east who dont want to travel across the country to Achill for a tri on the 10th of September

Barretstown are delighted to have been chosen this year as a partner charity for Sporting Proud which is the longest running triathlon in Ireland - now in its 15th year.
It takes place on Sat 3rd Sept in the beautiful Brittas Bay in Wicklow. Open to individuals and teams this triathlon has something for all abilities, with an Olympic distance or a shorter Sprint distance and you can do either event as an individual doing all 3 disciplines or in a team where 1 person does a leg of each.

Check out www.sportingproud.org for more info and to sign up!

Win Win Win – What’s a little unique about Sporting Proud is there is a prize for the top fundraiser for the event - a Sky Holiday for 8 people worth €9,500! The prize is very kindly sponsored by Sovereign Ski - see here for details of the resort http://www.sovereignski.com/

If you would like to know more about the event please get in touch by emailing me at bernie.connell@barretstown.org or you can call me on 045 863136.

    Many thanks,
    Bernie :)
