I advertsied my car with donedeal.ie. Its a 06 people carrier & I put it in at a rock bottom price as I have to shift it.

I had 2 calls over the last 10 days (bumped it once)

Was going to go with carzone.ie but I though €50 seemed expensive, but I'll do it if it is likely to get results.

Where seems to be the most effective place to sell a 5 year old car?

If it's a petrol, Saudi. Could you post a link to the advert?

I put up a 99 astra on donedeal tues eve. Had it up 5 mins when i got the 1st call. received 4 calls that eve. 4 hours later the car was sold!! donedeal was good for me and for only 3e compared 2 50e you cant beat it.!!

Did you put up many pics of the car? Also what price you got it up 4?

Luck plays a part aswell i suppose; right time right place.;)

As above DoneDeal. Take time on the ad good photo's (camera not mobile) full list of extra's, etc. Time of year and current economic situation everything is slow would'nt waste money on carzone.

I'd rather not post the ad as it has all my contact details...but the car is the lowest price on there for its model & year.

It is probably €1000 cheaper than the cheapest on Carzone (which is mainly dealers)

I have 4 photos .....maybe I'll take a few more & bump it up for the weekend

I don't normally buy/sell cars so I was just checking there wasn;t some other gem of a site I was missing.

Try cars.buyandsell.ie and www.adverts.ie but it's not like one site is magic while the rest are rubbish.
Only one thing will attract quick attention, low price.

Get a pic of the NCT cert, that's one thing people look for. Might be worth having it valeted (if that's in your budget) make sure the word diesel appears in the description.

OP if you're expecting thousand of euros for your car maybe 50 spent on advertising it on carzone isn't too bad?

If you just copy and paste the description of your ad here (without your contact details) you might get some constructive criticism here.
