Really pee'd off that the smallest populated county in Ireland is divided and has a minimal chance of electing a TD from the mainstream parties. FG doesn't even have an FG candidate in all of Leitrim!!

I'm (usually, but not always) an FG voter, however I believe the only way that this issue will get attention is if Leitrim managed to return 1 or 2 Sinn Fein TDs, this is a possibilty in both Sligo/North leitrim and Roscommon/South Leitrim.

So for me its a tactical vote to get the attention of the electoral commission (or whatever it is called). If Leitrim returned 2 SF TDs it would have a far bigger effect than all the submissions made to date (over 300 I believe) - which are obviously just thrown in the bin. It would be just deserts for the FF/FG/Lab for ignoring this issue as it has little impact on them to date.
