Stupid online UK retailer left an ink dye security tag on a jacket I bought,how can I remove it with out it staining the jacket.

I'm thinking I can put the jacket in a freezer and the dye will freeze so when I break it off it won't spill.what ya think? :cool:

I had the same problem a while ago too. I got dye on some money and had to launder it to get it cleaned...

Not sure. If you have a receipt just go into a retail shop and ask a member of staff, just be extra nice. If that fails id send it back and get a replacement.

Depends entirely on the tag itself, some of them have a lot of dye and a small amount of space...and much of the dye is water based, so it's gonna crack anyway and it does so before freezing fully you have ink on your clothing anyway.

To be honest, most of them are put on in a pretty half arsed manner so it should be easy enough to cut it.

Failing that, as already said, proof of purchase in a shop and they should have no problem doing it for you.

They had a cheek to say that I'd have to pay with my own money to send it back :mad:

I have a receipt but I think the tag has a certain frequency or something built in.
