grant number of years

    HI

    I wonder could anyone please advise on the lenght the student VEC grants last for.

    The degree course I want is 4 years long but I will probable have to do a one year full time plc to access this.

    Would the grant be available for all or some of these years?

    if you qualify for the grant then you will get it for the 4 years you are in college.

    thanks for the reply,

    So it would not be possible to get a grant for the one year PLC course,
    and if on completion I gain entry to the degree course to start to claim the grant for these four years?

    You can normally get a maintenance grant for a maximum of seven years, as long as you are progressing. This may change.
