Urita Clitheroe exited the office building at a fast pace. She was in a rush as the deadline was up in less than 25 minutes. The street was crowded which meant that she couldn’t run, instead she took a series of steps each one a slightly further apart than the other so as to gain speed. She could see that the corner she needed to turn around was coming up ahead of her, “it’s maybe 9 or ten feet away” she thought. She turned the corner and was taken aback by the scene that unfurled in front of her eyes.

There was a young boy in the street, maybe 10 or 11 years old. He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt, which she thought was odd as it was quite a chilly evening.

Behind the boy there was a man looking up at the sky at an angle, she could see he was about to say something and she wondered what it might be, but she didn’t have to wait long to find out as the next few seconds were filled with the ear piercing sound of a man who didn’t know who he was anymore, didn’t know what this crazy world meant for him anymore.

From that day on, she never forgot that word and also knew that she would, in some way become intrinsically linked with the events that were about to unfold in this man’s life.
