Can't unlock iPhone.

    I'm asking this question on behalf of my mam who can't unlock her iPhone. Now I'm not talking about jailbreaking or anything like that.

    When the screen appears saying to slide to unlock, the slider doesn't move at all regardless of how much force is being used.

    Any ideas as to why this might not be working?

    It's a 3G model of the phone if that makes any difference.

    Has she tried turning it off and back on again. Dies the Power Off slider work at the top when she tries this ?

    Or even try a soft reset, hold on / off button and home button at sametime until Apple logo appears and then release...
