Lost Property on Maynooth Line - whats the best way to try & get it back?

My son left a bag on the Maynooth train eralier this week. He got off the train along the route.

I contacted Connolly Station & after a 2 second search, literally, declared it wasn't there. They also said that ALL lost property isd returned to them.

Just in case - I called Maynooth & no sign, I asked how long they hold the stuff before they return it to Connolly......"we don't return it, we keep anything handed in here".

So do I need to try & contact each station or is there a way to flag it to all stations.

I fully accept someone might have picked it up to check if there was anything in it & threw it away afterwards.....there was nothing of value, just all his his sports gear which will cost a small fortune to replace !!

Anyone manage to get stuff back from them or would I be on a fools errand?

Might be worth trying the lost property office in Pearse station. (0)1 703 3633

Give it a few more days and retry Connolly. Its the designated lost property office for that line (Pearse is DART but its always worth a try). Stuff can take a while to reappear if it was found in the traincare depot for instance.

Not CIE but I had a wallet take *3 weeks* to make its way, completely unmolested, from a venue to their lost property office.
