    Android Developer – Cork City

    The Role:

    Mocal, a new start-up in Cork City, are searching for an enthuastic, intelligent, motivated individual to join the development team in an internship capacity. The successful applicant will work from home (or other location of their choice) and will correspond with the other members of the team using Skype and Email.

    Responsibilities:

    Write code for mobile-based applications.

    Study web and mobile development techniques in order to contribute to architectural discussions on performance, scalability, resilience and maintainability.

    Communicate with other members of the team frequently via Skype and Email, and face to face as requested.

    Requirements:

    A strong interest in programming and web development.

    Demonstratable experience (not necessarily commercial) with web development technologies such as Anroid, PHP, JavaScript, Flash, HTML5.

    Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

    Strong communication skills, and willingness to ask questions.

    Use of initiative to work independantly with a degree of common sense.

    What exactly is the project? Also is it paid and when do you want the intern to start?
