Is there an OTC painkiller like Difene? (not paracetamol though)

Had an appendectomy on Friday, in hospital they gave me Difene and Paracetamol for it but since coming out yesterday they only gave me Paracetamol to take home, no script for Difene.

The paracetamol on its own is ok but it only lasts for about one-two hours, after that I can't sit up or down without a pain at the wound site.

Not really bothered going to the doc just for a difene script, is there anything else I can take in conjunction with the paracetamol which would have the same effect?
I'm allergic (or close to allergic) to codeine, it gives me horrible, horrible headaches so unless it's absolutely the only option I'm not going to go down that road. Only other one I know of is Neorofen (ibuprofen) but I don't really know much about painkillers so not sure if it's right and if it can be taken with paracetamol or not?

Would appreciate any names you could throw at me to look into!

You need a GP Patrick. No point looking for answers here.

This is a medical thing. We won't discuss it here, you should consider consulting a doctor.
