That had to be one of the stupidest toys ever, impossible to stay on it for more than a few seconds.

I remember that soooo well. I was actually quiet good on it. Probably kill meself on it now, but mine was purple balloon thingey and pink ring. I love it. I also remember they got banned from my school!

Were the space hoppers not out long before the lolo ball or am I thinking of summit else? The space hopper I'm thinking of is the big orange thing with the handles that were the antennae. I think the lolo ball was from the 80's. I'm open to correction of course, just can't remember properly :o

Not sure when the space hopper came out but as far as I know the lolo ball came out in mid to late 80's, I had both of them but the lolo ball is a death trap

They so were! I remember lots of plaster casts around when they were popular.

They were pretty lethal if you had the wrong footwear on  I got money off my dad for bouncing out to the head of our road and back on it. Oh to be that fit now :D

I vaguely remember too that there was an Irish Loloball club. Did anyone here join and if they did, what did they get?

I had a space Hopper in 86' and it use to give me a headache if i used it for more then 30 mins. I had a Lolo ball in 88' which my aunt gave me because her son almost killed himself on it in our kitchen. They were truly dodgy things if ya did not know how to use them proper. You had to jump with it and not just depend on it making you jump if you know what I mean.
I hardly ever used it anyways, it's still in our shed and looking really sorry for itself! Kids today would not have a clue what the hell it was for if you showed it to them.:D

Fun Hopper was exactly the same as a Lolo Ball except it was cheaper.
Space Hopper was the weird alien thing you sat on.

I remember with the Lolo Ball/Fun Hopper that even with shoes on, the insides of your feet would be badly chaffed when you used it. I had no problem staying up on it only I had blisters on my feet!

Ah I remember there was one that was left in the garden for ages to go saggy. Think I managed about 2 hops on it before I gave up each time.

Wow! What a blast from the past! I had one of these and I wasn't too bad on it. Got mine in 1986 I think. It had a pink disc/ring and a yellowball. The After a while the air kept leaking out of the ball though so it kept slipping through the disc!. I remember them being advertised on tv or else it was on the Toy Show and showed some kids being able to jump on them whilst using a skipping rope at the same time!

My mum won one of them as part of a teabag promotion (think it was PG Tips)

great fun altogether. It's probably still in the attic at home.

My sister was able to skip with a loloball. I couldn't see the point of the toy at all; it had nothing on 'Dublin Horseshow' with the space-hopper.

My sister used to have one and it appeared from the attic on day when I was small.

It was called a space hopper in my house, never heard of lolo ball! But, they were fun!!! I loved to see how long I could stay upright on one!!!!:D:D

I used to have a lolo ball-glad to see i wasn't the only one who couldn't hop on it for long:D
Think we ended up taking the balls out from the ring and just flinging them at each other-much more fun!

I bought one with my confirmation money though that was in 1994 which was the more modern end of the lolo ball era. Mine was called a 'Jump Jumper' and was electric pink with chequered bits on the outside....swoon!

Hi,I know this post is really old,but I have been searching for a lolo ball for my daughter and her friend for Christmas and they are so hard to get. I found them on Amazon, but went to order them tonight and theres none left. A fitness place in Carlow have them but they charge E10 to deliver, which I think is a bit steep. Has anyone seen them anywhere?
